This is a card I made for a wedding shower for a young lady at my church who is getting married in December. She has chosen navy for her winter wedding, so I wanted to make a card that went with that.
I used polished stone technique for the background of the card with silver, Bashful Blue and Brocade Blue re-inkers on glossy white paper. After it dried, I sprayed it with acrylic sealer to set it because the silver tends to rub off onto everything! I used the ticket corner punch on the corners of this piece.
For the sentiment, I got to use my Rubber Soul Clear Stamps that I won in some blog candy awhile ago! I've been waiting for a chance to use them! I stamped them in Night of Navy on Brushed Silver cardstock, then punched it out with the scallop circle punch. I used my CM cutter kit to make a circle that was a bit larger than the scallop. I adhered the circle to the polished stone paper and added a strip of navy ribbon across it. I attached the scallop circle over the ribbon, then adhered the whole thing to the Night of Navy card base.
The picture doesn't really do it justice - it looks much better in real life!
