Some "Just Because" Cards

I've been asked to make some cards for the Women's Ministry at my church to give to the ladies of our church, so I was busy this week mass-producing cards! Here are some of the cards I will be giving them.
This one is actually for Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge #45. It's been ages since I've participated in a sketch challenge, so it felt good to make something like that! Blue Bayou and Sage Shadow are my go-to colours when I can't think of a combination! I love how they look together. I used some Blue Bayou Prints paper as well, along with my Simply Said stamp set. I coloured the flowers with Stampin' Write markers and added some Dazzling Diamonds glitter for a little bling.
For this one, I used Splitcoast's Sketch Challenge 172 for the layout. I used Berry Bliss paper and matched it to Pretty in Pink and Close to Cocoa cardstock. The image is from Embrace Life, stamped in Basic Brown and coloured in with Stampin' Write markers. I used some Whisper White taffeta ribbon and my ticket corner punch to finish it off.

I got to play with my Cuttlebug for this one. I used Soft Sky, Chocolate Chip and River Rock, along with my Baroque Motifs and Sincere Salutations sets.

For the very last card, I used Blush Blossom, Mellow Moss and Elegant Eggplant as my colours and Bloomin' Beautiful and En Francais for the stamps. I coloured in the flower with my Stampin' Write markers.

Wow! I managed to post something two days in a row! Are you impressed? :) Thanks for visiting.

Fun With My Cuttlebug!

Wow! It's sure difficult to find time to blog, let alone get any stamping done! Three days ago, we moved our "baby" out of his crib and into a big boy bed! He was a little nervous, but now he likes it. He keeps saying, "Big boy!" whenever he sees the bed!

Well, needless to say, we've had to start camping out outside his room to make sure he stays in the bed when it's nap time or bed time. We did that with our oldest for a few weeks until he learned that it wasn't free time to roam around the house! Noah seems to be learning pretty quickly. He only tried to get out the first night. Now he pretty much stays in bed looking at books until he's tired. Anyway, that eats up a lot of free time! I've decided that blogging once or twice a week is a more reasonable goal than every day!

So, I did get some time to play last night while my husband stood guard! :) My in-laws gave me a Cuttlebug for my birthday!!! I was so excited, and last night was my first chance to play with it. I went simple, and made this thank you card. The Tart & Tangy set just screams Bold Brights, so I pulled them out again for this one.

Here's the recipe:
Stamps: Tart & Tangy, Artfully Asian
Ink: Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, Glorious Green, Pumpkin Pie
Paper: Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, Pumpkin Pie, Glorious Green, Whisper White
Accessories: Cuttlebug Embossing Folder (Swirly?), Stampin' Dimensionals, 1 3/8" Square Punch
