Simple Silhouettes Thanks

This is a super-simple thank you card I came up with.  I actually designed it as a sympathy card, but I made a bunch of them and stamped some with "thank you"!
I used the Beau Chateau designer series paper, paired with Very Vanilla and Marina Mist.  Some Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon finishes off this simple, elegant card.

I actually like the template so much, that I made a Christmas stamp-a-stack card using the same layout!

Blessings to you,

August Stamp Club Cards

This is the last Stamp Club meeting with this particular group of ladies. It's been a great year, and I've enjoyed getting to know all of them! Many will be continuing on in another year of Stamp Club, so I'm looking forward to seeing them again in the fall!

This month's club projects are all by request! The first card is a sympathy card using the Poppin' Pastels technique (an oldie, but a goodie!). The image is stamped from Bloomin' Beautiful (I had forgotten I had this stamp until I found it while I was digging through my stamp drawer!) in VersaMark, then daubed with Perfect Plum, Mellow Moss and Close to Cocoa pastels. I sponged the edges of the cardstock with Mellow Moss and Perfect Plum ink and stamped the sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Mellow Moss. The Kraft card base is stamped with French Script in Mellow Moss as well, and I finished the card with some Kraft Taffeta ribbon.
This second card is actually found on p. 168 of the Idea Book & Catalogue! Sharon was flipping through the catalogue and thought this card was just beautiful, so she asked if we could make it at Stamp Club! It's made with the Pendant Notes cards. The image behind the die cut piece in the card front is from Pendant Park, stamped in Old Olive. I modified the flower a little bit because I didn't have enough Pretties flower for everyone to make the card! Instead, we'll be using the Birds & Blooms Sizzlets 4-Pack with Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive cardstock and a vanilla half pearl from the Pretties kit to make this flower.

The third card is one I received in a swap, created by Donna Wizniuk. I had it out for my club ladies to see, and they all thought it was so cute and wanted to make it! I modified Donna's a bit to work with the supplies I have, but it's pretty close to her original.

The base is Ruby Red and the barn roof is Chocolate Chip, stamped with the Sanded background stamp and corners rounded with the round corner punch. The fence and window pieces are Close to Cocoa stamped with Sanded, punched with the Word Window punch and held together with silver brads. The grass is Old Olive, cut with scissors.

The cow is Whisper White punched with the Round Tab punch and sponged with Basic Black ink. Her nose is a Pretty in Pink small oval. For the nostrils and eyes, I punched holes with the 1/8" circle punch (now discontinued) and put Basic Black behind them. Her ears are hearts from the Heart to Heart punch, cut in half and rounded. And of course, there's a Pretty in Pink grosgrain ribbon bow on her head!

I hope everyone enjoys making these cards!

Blessings to you,

Praying for Bonnie

One of my friends from high school recently lost her husband. He was snowmobiling in the mountains and was caught in an avalanche, along with two of his friends. One of the men survived, but Shane and Kori did not make it. I was so shocked when I heard this news, and my heart is breaking for her. They have four children together, from age four to thirteen. Please keep Bonnie and her kids in your prayers.
