Birthday Blog Candy Time!

I'll leave this post at the top until the winner is chosen. Please scroll down for new posts.

Well, I just noticed that my counter just passed 20 000 hits! I'm amazed. When I started this blog during the summer, I really didn't expect that anyone outside of my family would ever even look at it, and now I'm so privileged to have made so many wonderful blog friends all over the world. How cool is technology! And in addition to the 20 000 hits, it's also my birthday on Thursday.

So to celebrate my birthday and all the hits, I am going to offer some super-amazing blog candy.
ETA: The blog candy will be this In Full Bloom Simply Scrappin' Kit (it's opened, but nothing has been used - I just wanted to take a peek!), two sheets of Accents & Elements stickers, a clear envelope brag book that I made, a dragonfly stamp, a "Be Happy" incentive stamp, a black stampin' spot and some chipboard tags. I hope you'll like it!

For a chance to win this blog candy, all you have to do is leave me a comment on this post and tell me what your favourite birthday memory is. I will leave this open until 11:59 p.m. (mountain time) on Thursday, February 28 (my birthday!) and choose a winner on February 29 using Random.org.

Thanks for playing and thanks for visiting!

the day I turned 18, I packed my bag and my pillow and got my own place. I was still in high school but I was legally free. Got a job and had my own place. I no longer celebrate birthdays as none will top that one.

We share a birthday - probably many years apart as I am a grandma! My favorite birthday memory was the year I turned 24. My first birthday in Colorado and coming from the northeast the weather was always bad in Feburary. We were living up in the mountains in a cabin with a wood cooking stove. It was 70 degrees outside and I made lasagna and baked bread in the wood stove and served it up to a bunch of my friends on a door laid over two sawhorses in front of a fire. I never considered moving away from Colorado after that! Have a happy birthday and congrats on your successful blog! ~chris

Happy birthday and congratulations on the hits, too! I dont' really have a birthday memory - none of them have been all that memorable, I suppose. Maybe this year!

Congrats and Happy Birthday. My favorite birthday memory is my 30th while in the USAF. The guys (I mean real guys) baked me a cake. They had never baked one and it was all uneven and slidding off. They were so proud, and I was so touched.

This birthday! I just turned 44 this month...and I got to start celebrating early...in January I got a Cuttlebug, 8 embossing folders, an alphabet, and a set of mini embossing folders!!! Spoiled rotten. On my actual birthday, I got breakfast in bed and many cards! It was awesome!

Sounds like fun!!! MY favorite was when I turned 21 and was finally able to drink alcohol. It was on Thanksgiving Day, and I headed downtown to a bar. But none of them were open....except for a biker bar!! I walked in, decided I didn't need to drink that bad, and went home!! Thanks!

Happy Early Birthday!

My favorite birthday was my 30th as Ian proposed to me in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

You just missed being a leap-year baby (or maybe there wasn't a leap year the year you were born). My Ian is a leap year baby - he will be 7 on Friday!

the year that I turned 9, all of my aunts and uncles and cousins came to my birthday party...at the time i felt so special because i thought they had come all the way to see me...in retrospect i realize that there was likely some other reason, but at the time it felt really good to be the center of attention and have such a huge birthday party...i got a barbie

Congrats on the hits! Wowwee!

My favorite birthday was when I was probably 8 years old and all my friends from school came and we used our basement as a skating rink....sooo much fun. Oh and we played Hungry, Hungry, Hippo. :)

I love checking your blog everyday! My favorite birthday was my 28th (I think!) when my husband surprised me with ice skating (He asked every year "what do you want to do for your birhday?" which I always replied "go ice skating) and we never did!!)and then slipped a ring box inside my shoes when he brought them back to me after returning the ice skates.

Congrats on the hits Shannon! You are way too generous with your blog candy! It's sad to say, but I don't have a 'fav' bday memory. Just spending the day with my family & friends is the best part. Hope you have a wonderful birthday!

Birthdays are good for you..the more you have the longer you'll live :)

Hope your day was a happy one. My favorite memory is of the time when my Boyfriend brought me a bouquet of flowers. He had my sister put them in my room while we went for a walk and I came back and found a candlelit room and a beautiful gift and flowers

Best Wishes for a very Happy Birthday to you! and Happy 20K too! Lots to smile about

Here's a good b-day memory, I was a kid, up at our cottage on the lake, no tv etc. On my birthday my dad said he had a special present for me, and took me over to the neighbours cottage. there they were all eyes on the very tiny black and white... my dad told me he arranged this was especially on my birthday... we all saw the men landing on the moon for the first time on my birthday! As a kid, I did not know any better LOL. :) Happy Day.

Wishing you oodles of Birthday Wishes! I loved my birthdays when I was 10 and under. That is because I loved all of my relatives and grandparents so much and loved having each & every one of them at my parties. Since age 10, I've lost all my grandparents, my dad, & many aunts, uncles, & cousins. Presents can't make up for their presence:)
