Blog Candy for 15 000+ Hits!

Please scroll down for new posts - I'll leave this at the top until December 21.

Okay Everyone, it's Blog Candy Time! My counter hit 15 000 last week, so I'm offering some yummy Stampin' Up! blog candy! Thank you to everyone who visits my blog regularly. I do appreciate it! I've met so many good blog friends here, and I'm so grateful and amazed!

Since I haven't had time to pull together all the blog candy and take a photo, I'm going to copy Alex (California Stampin'), who by the way is also offering some blog candy, so check it out! I'm going to offer some "wrapped" candy - you'll find out what it is after I select a winner. It will include a Stampin' Up! stamp set, some 12 x 12 SU! designer paper and some assorted embellishments (some SU!, some other).

Here's how to win: simply leave me a comment and let me know what you're doing for Christmas this year, if anything! I'm interested to know how people around the world will be spending the holidays. Our family will be going to British Columbia for a few days to visit my mom and step-dad. (Yay! A long van ride with two little kids!!! Thank goodness for the DVD player! LOL!) Mom always cooks a ham dinner on Christmas Eve and a turkey dinner on Christmas Day, so there should be some good eating! Afterwards, we'll have a late Christmas with my in-laws here in town. Our boys will exchange gifts with their cousins and we'll have a yummy supper afterwards (do you see that food is a theme here?).

Anyway, I'll leave this open until Friday, December 21, then I'll use random.org to choose a winner. Thanks again for visiting!

Congrats on all your hits :)! This year has been a rather busy one here in my family, I have volunteered to have xmas dinner here at my house. This dinner includes my side of the family, and my dh's parents since they will be alone this xmas day.
Then we will be doing things with my dh's side of the family, like annual xmas hikes (on Boxing day), to open houses and having get together with cousins and their parents visiting from Toronto. It is also a special Xmas, because my dd is 1 and I can't wait to see her face light up with delight. It is also a hard Christmas for my father, his mom just passed a few weeks ago...it will be hard for him I am sure. But all in all we will be with family and will have lots of fun :)!
Thank you so much for this chance at some great blog candy and sorry for my novel :)!

Hugs,

This is the first time I've visited your blog...you've definitely had some hits! : )
I'm a teacher too...wish it was "former" but not so lucky! : ) I teach 5th grade in Indianapolis!
We have the family over on Christmas Eve for games/food. The next morning we discover what Santa left with our two kids. Then my husband's family joins us for brunch and more presents. Finally, we end up with my family and MORE presents. My 3 and 6 year olds get a little overwhelmed with all the presents...actually I take that back...I get overwhelmed trying to find a place for all of them! : )

I am not doing anything for Christmas except go nuts as hubby will be home for a week or so. Which means I have to babysit him. Most of his contacts overseas dont celebrate the holiday,so he will be on conference calls constantly. and I just want to see some heat and sun.

Congratulations on all the hits!!! Our Christmas will be as usual this year: A buffet supper on Christmas Eve, open gifts, more eating. Then Christmas Day our daughter will have us over for lunch - a huge feast, of course! Turkey, homemade rolls, cranberry relish, turkey, dressing & everything else that goes with it. So good. Then we'll watch the football game (or at least the men will, while the women stamp & search for bargains in the newspaper ads for the sales that will take place the next day!

We will spend Christmas day at our house with my parents and two grown sons coming. Gone are the days with little ones clamoring around the tree. It's quieter now, but oh, so precious when family is together. Later in the week extended family will gather at my sisters, spreading Christmas celebrations out over a full week!

Congrats on all your hits! You're ahead of me but I'm just getting started at all this and so look forward to other great connections with artists all over the world!!

This year, we will be hosting dh's parents, who are traveling from Arizona. We will have a big ham dinner (cooked in my brand new kitchen!), and then will celebrate my ds's birthday after dinner. Yes, he's a Christmas baby! It will be a busy, fun day.

Happy holidays!

We will spend Christmas at home in southern California. It doesn't look a bit like Christmas outside but we pretend. We will attend Christmas eve service at church (where I will cry) and then come home to our traditional chili dinner (I love a crockpot dinner!). We have Christmas brunch and then a ham dinner on Christmas day. Congratulations on your milestone!

Wow!Congratulations on 15,000 hits!
We usually gather in my mom's small house on Christmas Eve and we have far outgrown the space. So, this year my precious husband has almost finished us a 30 X 30 party building. We have air hockey and ping pong tables, a tv area, a kitchen area, a 14 ft dining table for adults and 2 6 ft tables for children. I love it because we have a place for birthday parties, family gatherings and I can spread a lot of craft supplies to paint or make cards with anyone who wants to craft. We stopped the construction for Thanksgiving so all that is left is painting . My husband's mom got sick and was hospitalized shortly after and yesterday we took her off of life support. It was her wedding anniversary to my husband's dad. We lost him in 2006. This year will be a lot different without them both. Thanks so much for letting me share and the opportunity to win some fabulous blog candy.

Congrats on 15K hits for your blog. I can certainly see why! This Christmas will be very quiet for us with no family around. So, I will cook a small Christmas dinner, probably Prime Rib and Yorkshire pudding as that's my DH's favourite meal.
Shannon, thanks for the lovely Christmas card. It arrived today and I love it.
