I am so excited because next week my husband and I get to go away for a weekend ALONE! It's been over two years since we've spent a significant amount of time without the kids around, and I am so looking forward to it. My mom is coming to stay with the kids for the weekend and we're off to Canmore, Alberta! Anyway, I just got the Sunshine Garden designer series paper, and I couldn't wait to play with it! I made this thank you card for one of my hostesses. I CASEd a card by my upline, Winona, that we made awhile back at a downline meeting.
Here's the recipe:
Stamps: Cheep Talk, Thank You Kindly
Ink: Kiwi Kiss, Pacific Point, Chocolate Chip
Paper: More Mustard, Pacific Point, Whisper White cs, Sunshine Garden dsp
Accessories: Mustard grosgrain, 1 3/8" circle punch,

Pop-Up Bird
So much for posting every week! I'm trying, but there just doesn't seem to be enough time in the day for all I want to get done! So here's a quick entry so I can say I've posted at least a few times in April!
This is a pop-up card my Stamp Club made this month using the Birds & Branches decorative strip die with the Word Window punch. It was really quick to make since there wasn't much stamping, and lots of Big Shot use! We used the Pacific Point, Kiwi Kiss and Riding Hood Red In Colors (love this colour combo!).
Thanks so much for reading! I appreciate you coming back even though I'm not very consistent.

Happy Anniversary, Ian!
My husband and I are celebrating our 12th anniversary today! (Actually we went out for supper on Friday night because our son's birthday is tomorrow and this weekend has been all about his birthday hoopla!)
On Friday when I came downstairs in the morning, I found a beautiful bouquet of roses waiting for me! What a wonderful man I married! Then on Friday night we went out for supper, followed by shopping for Adam's birthday! Not very romantic, but at least it was just the two of us!
I made this card for him. It's kind of a combination between goofy and sophisticated (kind of like him!). I love the Bella Bleu dsp, so I started with that, then added the "hugs & kisses" sentiment from Love You Much with a vanilla hodgepodge hardware frame.
Anyway, Happy Anniversary, Ian! I love you!

Praying for Bonnie
One of my friends from high school recently lost her husband. He was snowmobiling in the mountains and was caught in an avalanche, along with two of his friends. One of the men survived, but Shane and Kori did not make it. I was so shocked when I heard this news, and my heart is breaking for her. They have four children together, from age four to thirteen. Please keep Bonnie and her kids in your prayers.
